Yeah baby, Sushi Night!

I came up with this idea...to have a sushi party at the K's House on Sunday June 25th. I named the party as, "Yeah baby! Sushi Night" and people seemed to like the naming, or at least that was what I thought anyway (See the pic of the Sushi Night poster).

June 25th is the day my Fukui friend Hudson comes up to Tokyo and stays at the K's House! (Yay!) For the ALT English play, "Mega Monogatari Mix-up" (performed on June 27th & 28th, 2006 in Fukui) we worked together. He was THE Producer.

K's House is so cool in the way they said "yes, I love your sushi party idea and we can help you out, too!" I was so glad that they didn't say things like, "No yoko, not everyone at our hostel wanna party at night. We can't have a party here" or "Yes, it is a fun idea, but we don't have a large enough space here."

The owner of this K's House and all other Japanese staffs here are super friendly and nice. We are very casual. We call each other by our first name basis. Everyone calls me, "Yoko" here, and not "Kawabata-san". It actually makes a lot of difference for how to communicate with others. Our relationship is casual and more like friends, not so much like a formal vertical relationship that is commonly seen in Japanese society.
